The iPhone’s Reminders app can help you share a shopping or grocery list with your family. The setup is very simple and it works well. This setup assumes that you and your family members have iCloud accounts, and an iPhone with iOS 6 installed.
Create a list in the Reminders app on your Mac, or via iCloud.com.
Name your list “Grocery List” or “Shopping List.”
Hover your mouse over the radar icon next to the list on your Mac, or on iCloud.com.
Enter the person’s iCloud account information in the pop up box.
That’s it. You should both be able to see the list, and add or remove items from it. You can even ask Siri to add things to your list. Tell Siri, “add bananas to my grocery list.” Siri will update your list and the person you share the list with will see the updates.
It would be very helpful if Apple would allow a notification once the list was updated. I guess that could get quite hairy when you’re setting up the list, but if I’m headed to the store and my wife adds something to the list I want to be notified.
