Xperia X1 not getting Windows Mobile 6.5

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - November 20, 2009

The word on the street is that the Sony Xperia X1 will not be getting a Windows Mobile 6.5 update. Sony Ericsson Crave Asia that no update is coming.

This is not surprising news, but a bit disappointing. It seems phone manufacturers don't support their devices for very long these days. The X1 is an older device and the X2 is coming so they probably just don't want to hassle with it.

If you want to try an unofficial ROM on your X1 you can head over to xda-developers and see if you can get one of their ROMs running.
