Rumors have been floating about a new iTunes phone by Motorola. According to various reports Apple and Motorola have been working on a new phone that will work with Apple's iTunes music service. BusinessWeek.com is now reporting that a "family of iTunes phones" ranging from low end to high end will be available before Christmas. The report also mentions Cingular and Bellsouth as the first US providers to carry the new Motorola phones.
Speculation about the new iTunes phones have been going on for months. We've seen pictures floating around the Internet claiming to be leaked photos of the new devices but not solid details have been available.
The report seems to indicate that Apple has the most to gain with this new line of devices as it could give them the "pole position" in the new market of supplying music to cell phones.
"Most analysts have already incorporated the phone's shipments into their financial forecasts for Motorola. Sue, of RBC Capital Markets, believes that sales will exceed investors' expectations thanks, in part, to the iTunes connection. "
